YS6344 three-phase asynchronous motor is a commonly used electromechanical product. It has a wide range of applications, a relatively high cost-performance ratio, and is very suitable for the general public. Small JW6312 three-phase motors are often used in places such as fans, motors, and water pumps, which shows that there are many manufacturers to choose from for this type of motor. After years of development, customers still have a preference for this type of motor. There are also new models, but some customers cannot accept them in terms of use. Let's briefly understand these aspects. The shaft of the new model is 11, not 14. Customers who prefer a 14mm shaft are generally unwilling to change, as they feel the 11mm shaft is not suitable. Although YS6344 three-phase asynchronous motor does not look as good as the new model in appearance, each has its own advantages. I believe things will get better over time.
Site
On-site requirements for the motor and the driven equipment
The site should be clean, dry, and well-ventilated. Drainage facilities should be complete and easy to inspect, lubricate, and maintain. When installed outdoors, the motor should be protected from wind and rain; b) There should be sufficient space so that the motor does not need to be moved when disassembling the driven equipment.
YS6344 three-phase asynchronous motor is generally packaged in wooden cases. When unpacking, use a wrench to remove the nuts from the two ends of the wooden box, lift the box body or the upper cover of the box upward with parallel force at both ends, and remove the moisture-proof bag to expose the motor: The box contains documents such as a packing list, instruction manual, qualification certificate, and the outline and installation dimension drawing of the motor. Please check the items in the box carefully according to the packing list; Before installation, perform the following inspections as required in this manual. If it does not meet the requirements, it is not allowed to use. Check all nameplate data, especially the voltage and winding connections.
Before installation, you must first check the lubrication status of the rolling bearings. If the original grease has deteriorated, dried up, or become dirty, you must clean the bearings with gasoline, then add clean grease. The injection amount is about 1/2 of the net volume of the bearing housing (for 2-pole motors), and 2/3 (for 4-pole and above motors). Among them, the grease for 2P and 4P is No. 2 lithium-based grease, and the grease for 6P and above is No. 3 lithium-based grease. Other high-temperature greases (for TA or VI-A type motors and motors used in high ambient temperatures) can also be used.
Preparations before installation
You must carefully install the YS6344 three-phase asynchronous motor, because the good operating performance of the motor in the future depends largely on the concentricity between the motor shaft and the main engine shaft and the rigidity of the relevant foundation. Before installing the motor, you should check the following points:
At the installation site, carefully check all items in the motor manufacturer's packing list. If any parts are missing or damaged, you should immediately raise the issue with the manufacturer.
Mark the position on the foundation platform to find the center line of the motor and the elevation of the foundation surface.
Check the size, position, and elevation of the foundation bolts according to the outline drawing of the motor.
Positioning of the YS6344 three-phase asynchronous motor
When determining the position of the motor, the following factors should be considered
The motor should be installed in a well-ventilated place, with an ambient temperature of -15℃~+40℃ and an altitude ≤1000m. Special orders are required otherwise.
Pay attention that the air outlet of the motor should not let the discharged hot air enter the air inlet to cause recirculation, or the hot air discharged from one motor directly enter another motor.
Ensure that there is sufficient working space around the motor to facilitate disassembly, cleaning, or inspection of the motor.
Foundation for the YS6344 three-phase asynchronous motor
The foundation must be rigid to minimize the vibration of the motor and the inaccuracy of the axis during operation. It is best to have a rigid concrete pier with sufficient depth on a rigid foundation. If it is necessary to place the motor on a steel frame instead of a concrete foundation, the steel frame must be rigid enough to support it. A common reason for a vibrating motor is that the foundation design does not

Take full account of installing the motor on a high support frame. The design, installation, and supervision of the installation work should be carried out by an engineer familiar with the design. For the required dimensions related to the foundation, refer to the outline drawing. If a pit is needed under the motor, there should be sufficient working space for installation and maintenance.
Making a template according to the dimensions on the outline drawing can simplify the positioning of the foundation bolts. Regardless of the type of foundation, the bottom foot surface of the motor must be placed on steel shims or backing plates. The top surfaces of the steel shims or backing plates must form a horizontal plane, and its elevation is slightly lower than the elevation obtained from the maximum distance between the motor shaft center line and the bottom foot surface. This is to add shims between the motor's bottom foot and the installation surface to achieve the final alignment center height between the motor and the driven machine. It is much easier to raise the motor by adding shims than to lower the foundation if the elevation is too high. Before placing the base or bottom plate on the concrete foundation, the surface of the foundation should be roughened and flushed clean. A rough surface can achieve a good bond between the foundation and the grout.
